FNMT CENTENARY OF THE SPANISH LEGION MEDAL - NICKEL

On the occasion of the Centenary of the creation of the Spanish Legion, the Royal Mint issues a commemorative cupronickel medal. The obverse shows the logo created especially for this commemoration. On the lower part of the piece, in a circular shape and in capital letters, the legend "CIEN AÑOS DE VALOR, EL VALOR DE CIEN AÑOS" (ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF VALOUR, THE VALUE OF ONE HUNDRED YEARS). On the reverse, in the central part, the emblem of the Spanish Legion is reproduced: a crossbow and harquebus in crossbow, highlighting a halberd together with the Royal Crown. At the bottom of the piece, in a circular shape and in capital letters, the legend of one of the mottos of the Spanish Legion: "LEGIONARIES TO FIGHT, LEGIONARIES TO DIE". .
