13 January 1824 is considered the date on which the Spanish police force was founded. The year 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of this date, so to celebrate this event the Royal Spanish Mint is issuing a silver coin.
The reverse shows the logo of the Bicentenary of the National Police in colour; below the logo is the face value of the coin, 10 EUROS, and the mint mark. At the top of the coin, in circular form and in capital letters, the legend POLICÍA NACIONAL (NATIONAL POLICE). At the bottom of the coin, in descending circular form and in capitals, and separated by a dot, are the legends SERVICE, DIGNITY, COMMITMENT and LOYALTY.
The obverse shows the portrait of His Majesty King Felipe VI. The image of the King has changed from previous years showing a current image of him with a beard.
