The obverse of the coin features an interpretation of the work 'One Second Before Awakening' (1944) and the reverse of the coin features an interpretation of the work 'Rhinocerotic Figure of the Ilysos by Phidias' (1954). In addition, the lower part of the reverse has a recess for a sterling-gold-plated silver medal. On the obverse of the medal is a depiction of a soft watch by the painter, adapted to the irregular shape of the medal. On the reverse is an interpretation, in negative, of the painting "Soft self-portrait with fried bacon" (1941), so that it fits in with the motif and housing prepared on the fiftieth.
