The Bank of Estonia will issue a €2 coin on 9 March to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Estonian Literary Society. The national side of the coin depicts an open book with the sentence on one page "If we do not grow in population, we must be great in spirit" by Jakob Hurt, the first president of the Estonian Writers' Society. The founding year of the Estonian Writers' Society, 1872, is also mentioned on the same side of the coin.
