10 EUROS - 175º ANIV. OF THE CIVIL GUARD. SILVER
On the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the creation of the Spanish security force of the Guardia Civil, the Fabrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda, issues a collector's coin.
The obverse features a portrait of His Majesty King Felipe VI on the left, wearing the insignia of Captain General.
The reverse shows in the upper centre a detail of the portrait of the 2nd Duke of Ahumada, Francisco Javier Girón y Ezpeleta de las Casas Enrile, founder of the Civil Guard, painted by Vicente López Portaña, which is kept in the Army Museum in Toledo. The lower part shows the emblems of the Guardia Civil in colour.
